Wild Hearts is an action packed, monster-slaying game from the developers behind Dynasty Warriors that takes inspiration from feudal Japan and asks players to take down fantasy creatures similar to Monster Hunter. But, as the new consoles have now been out for two years, is Wild Hearts coming to PS4 and Xbox One?
Everyone loves Monster Hunter for its action and crafting, but when that collides with the slick action that Dynasty Warriors is known for, it makes Wild Hearts one very exciting package. Below, you’ll find everything we know about one question: is Wild Hearts coming to PS4 and Xbox One?
Is Wild Hearts coming to PS4?
Wild Hearts will not be coming to the PS4. However, the game will be coming to the PS5 console. This was confirmed by Koei Tecmo directors Kotaro Hirata and Takuto Edagawa in an interview with IGN.
“We believe that the fantastic and unique worldview inspired by feudal Japan is one of the key aspects of Wild Hearts,” Hirata told IGN. “In order to make the world more compelling, we felt it was necessary to maximise the performance of the current platforms.”
So, while the game won’t be coming to the PS4 console, you can be assured that this is to make the PS5 version even more impressive as we approach the 10-year anniversary of the older hardware.
Is Wild Hearts coming to Xbox One?
No, Wild Hearts is not being released on the Xbox One console. Koei Tecmo directors Kotaro Hirata and Takuto Edagawa confirmed this information in the same interview with IGN, where they noted that they want Wild Hearts to benefit from all the features and power of the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
This does mean, however, that Wild Hearts also won’t support Smart Delivery to older consoles, so the only way to play will be on the Xbox Series X, or its smaller sibling the Xbox Series S.
