We’re hiring! The Loadout is on the hunt for three new staff writers

The Loadout is expanding, and we're looking for three writers who know their stuff about competitive and console gaming to join our news and guides teams

Are you looking forward to sinking way too many hours into Starfield? Do you love grinding ranked mode in some of the biggest competitive FPS games? Do you like writing about it?

If the answer to some or all of these questions is ‘yes’, then you’re in luck – The Loadout is growing once again, and we’re on the hunt for three new UK-based staff writers to join the team.

If you’re not sure what The Loadout is all about, we cover the worlds of console gaming and competitive gaming. That means we’re gearing up to dive into massive console releases like God of War Ragnarok, The Callisto Protocol, and Starfield, while continuing to cover live service competitive titles like Apex Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty. You’ll also see us creating original content around some of the world’s biggest esports scenes. Ideal candidates for these three roles will be passionate about and have expertise in some or all of these areas.

So, what will these roles entail? Each position will be slightly different, with two being more guides focused and the other working more closely with the news team.

While all these roles are five days per week, the guides-focused roles will be Monday-Friday, while the news writer role will be Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday, whatever works for you. While you have to be based in the UK, all roles are remote, but we do have a fabulous office in Bath for you to visit if you’re close by.

Below you can find full details of each role, along with links on how to apply. We can’t wait to hear from you and find three new members of Team Lime Green – good luck!
