Those rascally little Inklings and Octolings are back in Splatoon 3, and it has more features than ever. From single-player story to ink-tastic multiplayer that asks you to paint every surface in the level with your team’s ink colour. But, what we all really want to know is whether we’ll have to buy the game for full price, or whether Splatoon 3 free to play will be there to save our wallets and purses the damage they will see.
Regardless of whether the game is paid or free, if you’re a fan of the squid-kids and their colourful shenanigans, then you’ll want to get playing Splatoon 3 as soon as possible – and we don’t blame you because we do too. It’s been five years since Splatoon 2, can you believe, and that’s far too long without new splatting content.
Read on below to find out everything we know about Splatoon 3 free to play.
Is Splatoon 3 free to play?
Splatoon 3 is not free to play. The ink-tastic shooter is a full-priced game that can be purchased physically through a retailer or digitally through the Nintendo eShop.
Since Splatoon 3 is a first-party title developed by Nintendo, we’re not surprised that it isn’t free to play since the Japanese giant does not have a track record of offering free to play games.
