Star Wars meets League of Legends in this epic anime Arcane trailer

Sleightlymusical mixed the two trailers together and it's made Arcane extra dramatic

League of Legends Arcane

The world of League of Legends is so expansive that it’s come as no surprise that Riot Games is making an animated series to delve into the game’s lore. The trailer for the new series has been shared far and wide by fans and players alike, but it’s started to gain traction for another reason – and that’s Star Wars.

After noticing that the music from the trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens sounds similar to the track used in Arcane’s, Albert ‘sleightlymusical’ Chang, a big League of Legends fan, who is known for his K-pop covers, plays the two trailers at the same time on his stream and the result is incredible.

With lines from Rey, Han Solo and General Leia Organa and Star Wars’ iconic music layered over footage of some of LoL’s biggest champions, sleightlymusical, who has over 270,000 followers on Twitch, has somehow made the trailer for the new animated series ten times more exciting.

“That worked way better than I could have even imagined,” the musician tells his stream. “I thought maybe it would work. Even the cut to black at the end went right with the music! Woah.”

Shortly after talking to chat, the content creator switches the trailers around, so that the sound of Arcane plays over the trailer for Force Awakens. It’s not as good, mainly because it doesn’t have a lengthy dramatic voice over but it certainly has its moments.

It’s not going to happen, but we’d love to see the worlds of League of Legends and Star Wars come together in the future.
