The Year of the Mammoth brought real change to Hearthstone. Players were able to get creative with new cards and deck archetypes, while learning about new strategies and options through the quest and adapt mechanics. However, one of the best things to come from that year was the artwork – something that’s detailed in third volume of The Art of Hearthstone.
The third volume, which is written by Robert Brooks, chronicles the artistic achievements of the team working on the Year of the Mammoth by pulling back the curtain on the creative and design process. There are lots of interviews accompanied by vivid illustrations that really capture the essence the season which took players to the exotic wilds in Journey to Un’goro Crater and the Kobolds & Catacombs.
