Fortnite fans, we’ve got some bad news for you: Chapter 2, Season 3 has been delayed again. Epic Games confirmed earlier today that the new season has been delayed by a week, meaning fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see what the new Fortnite season and battle pass has got in store.
This is now the second time that Chapter 2, Season 3 has been delayed, so if you’re busy counting down the days to the launch, you’re going to have to change the end date to Thursday, June 11. The highly anticipated limited-time Doomsday event, The Device, is also be delayed until Saturday, June 6.
“In an effort to get everything ready for Chapter 2, Season 3, we’re extending Season 2 by one week,” Epic says in its recent blog. “The new launch day of Season 3 will be Thursday, June 11. Also make sure to check out a one-time-only live event called The Device, now scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 2 PM ET (please show up 30 minutes early to help secure your spot, space is limited).”
It’s not quite clear what “getting everything ready” means, but based on previous chapters, fans should expect sweeping changes and gorgeous cinematics to kick things off.
While it’s not ideal to be patient for another week, good things come to those that wait.
