Warzone 2 and DMZ are getting Rainbow Six Siege style interrogations

You can channel your inner Rainbow Six Siege Caveira in Call of Duty now, thanks to a new feature coming to Warzone 2 and DMZ game modes

Warzone 2 DMZ interrogation: A cloaked operator holding a gun on shipment in Call of Duty

One of the best reasons to play as Caveira in Rainbow Six Siege is her interrogation ability, which allows you to question downed players and reveal their teammates locations. Up until recently, the ability has stayed largely within the Rainbow Six universe, but now it appears Infinity Ward is looking to get in on the action with Warzone 2 and DMZ.

According to the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1 blog, players will be able to shake down player-controlled enemies while they’re downed to gained vital intel. We’re yet to see this in motion – although the planned content creator reveal at 12pm PT / 5pm ET / 8pm GMT will probably spotlight this – but it’s likely the locations of your subject’s teammates will appear on the minimap for your team to see.

This feature will be available in both Warzone 2’s battle royale mode and the Escape From Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode, although we’re not sure whether you’ll need a specific perk or item to pull this move off just yet.

What’s clear though is that Infinity Ward has thought about intel gathering in this new era of free-to-play Call of Duty and interrogation is just a small part of that. According to the blog, players can expect multiple safe zones, which will move for the final showdown, proximity chat, aquatic combat, and more in both modes.

In DMZ, players will also be able to team up to form larger squads for a better chance of survival. What this will look like, though, remains to be seen.

In other news, Infinity Ward has confirmed that you can start preloading the game on November 14 ahead of the Warzone 2 release date.
