Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone maps – does Hazard Zone have its own map?

Will Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone get a unique map or its own map in the future on top of the existing Hazard Zone maps?

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Own Map: A sandy battlefield can be seen below with helicopters flying above people shooting each other on rusted out metal buildings.

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone has been revealed with a detailed breakdown of how the mode will work, as well as the lowdown on some of the unique features DICE is bringing to this intense experience. But, with the Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone gameplay details being dropped, players who are excited about the mode want to know if a unique map will be coming to Hazard Zone in Battlefield 2042.

As expected, the mode will initially utilise the game’s seven maps that have been built for Battlefield 2042. But, if the mode proves to be a hit, then there may be a chance that DICE will release more Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone maps in the future and maybe even an exclusive one for the mode.

Read on for what DICE has said about Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone getting a unique map in the future and the current Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone maps.

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Maps

At launch, Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone will have seven maps, all of which are also playable in the game’s All-Out Warfare mode.

The seven maps in Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone are:

  • Breakaway
  • Discarded
  • Hourglass
  • Kaleidoscope
  • Manifest
  • Orbital
  • Renewal

More maps will be added as a part of the game’s seasons although DICE hasn’t said if these will be added to Hazard Zone. However, it would seem more than likely that they will be available in both Hazard Zone and All-Out Warfare.

While Hazard Zone will use these All-Out Warfare maps, they will be scaled down to better suit the mode’s smaller player count. EA confirmed to The Loadout before launch that the maps would not be full-size.

Does Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Have Its Own map?

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone does not have its own unique map and there’s no indication from DICE that it will ever get exclusive maps in the future.

As mentioned, at launch the mode will run off of the seven maps built for Battlefield 2042. While DICE hasn’t said that Hazard Zone will get its own map in the future, it hasn’t commented on if that is a possibility as of now.

However, with more maps planned to be added in the game’s seasons, it seems unlikely that DICE will dedicate their time to creating a unique map for the mode when the existing maps are implemented.

That covers what we know about DICE’s plans for a unique map in Hazard Zone. While you are looking for news on the mode, why not take a look at the full list of Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Tactical Upgrades available in the mode.
