Industry events are slowly starting to reemerge in the gaming world after a pandemic full of delays, postponements, and cancellations, and for indie developers, W.A.S.D. is going to be one to watch. W.A.S.D. is a brand new event, coming to the Tobacco Dock in London next month, and will showcase various exciting indie games, feature exhibitions from the likes of Devolver Digital, Team17, and Sega, and will have a lineup of talks and panels.
Speaking to our sister site, PCGamesN, which is the media partner for the event, David Lilley – founder of Roucan, the producer of W.A.S.D – says: “We’re giving indies a platform from which to promote themselves and their games. Something we believe is important is that W.A.S.D does this while offering equal weighting to games from the big publishers. There will be big budget games at the event, but they’ll sit alongside the indies.”
If W.A.S.D. sounds like you’re kind of convention, then we’ve got two bits of good news for you – it’s just around the corner, and there are still tickets available! W.A.S.D. will be taking place at the Tobacco Dock from April 7-9.
It promises to be a great event for both gaming fans and aspiring and current developers, with plenty of thought-provoking talks and intriguing new indies to be highlighted as part of W.A.S.D. Curios, a collection of 13 indie projects that the developers will be able to show off for free.
