Sentinels Valorant roster wins third consecutive NA VCT title

Sentinels has bolstered its position as North America’s top Valorant team by defeating 100 Thieves 3-1 in the Valorant Champions Tour Challengers 3 Playoffs final. Despite little separating Sentinels and 100 Thieves in the first two maps on Bind and Breeze, the former stomped to victory with a convincing 13-6 win on Haven and 13-5 win on Split.

By winning the event, Sentinels has now been crowned NA champion in all three stages of the 2021 VCT so far, having conquered the Challengers Finals in Stage 2 and 3, and the regional NA Masters event in Stage 1. Add this regional success on top of its international victory in Iceland at Masters 2, and you’ve got yourself a roster that is not only dubbed the best in North America, but the entire world.

With its impressive Stage 3 run, Sentinels has booked its place at the next international LAN event, Masters 3, in Berlin, alongside 100 Thieves and Team Envy.

As the undisputed kings of North America this year, you could forgive Sentinels’ players for indulging in some showmanship during its victory over 100 Thieves. As the final map began leaning heavily in Sentinels’ favour, Michael ‘dapr’ Gulino decided to charge down 100 Thieves veteran Spencer ‘Hiko’ Martin, knife in hand, to deal a teabag-worthy melee kill.

With confidence at an all-time high and North American teams failing to put much of a chink in its armour, Sentinels’ victorious streak in the region is hardly surprising.
