New esports organisation Rix.GG signs Royals Valorant roster

The team will make its debut in Rix colours at the Mandatory Cup this weekend

A European Valorant team has been signed by a new organisation dedicated to improving grass roots esports in the UK. The Royals Valorant team, which has some of the best UK talent and is led by Jack ‘kpiz’ Pragnell, has been signed by Rix.GG.

The team, which has been competing in a number of weekly Valorant tournaments, is currently ranked 25th in the world – a rank that has seen the team invited to the Mandatory Cup, the next Riot-sanctioned Ignition Series event, this weekend.

“We are incredibly happy to join Rix.GG as the organisation’s first official team,” kpiz, the captain of the team says in the press release. “We felt it was a great opportunity to sign with Rix.GG at this time, they offered us great infrastructure and support for the entire team. They’ll supply us with a sense of stability during these times of development, which we believe is vital to our success.

“Together with the great support staff, we hope to compete for the championships over the next few months, starting with the Mandatory Cup, as part of the Ignition Series.”

It’ll be interesting to see how the young roster get on in their first big tournament against some the scene’s best teams, but it’s clear this is just the start for the organisation. Jamie Lewis, the organisation’s founder, says he plans on signing more rosters to Rix.GG and continue to support grassroots competitions with the aim of giving up and coming talent a leg up in the industry.

The full Rix.GG Valorant roster is as follows:

  • Jack ‘kpiz’ Pragnell
  • Harry ‘DPS’ MacGill
  • Tautvydas ‘hype’ Paldavicius
  • Brandon ‘weber’ Weber
  • Russel ‘Russ’ Mendes
