If you’re playing nothing but Valorant at the moment, then this will be music to your ears – Valorant ranked is coming next week.
Game director Joe Ziegler made the announcement on Twitter yesterday, stating the popular competitive mode will finally be added to the full game next week if everything goes to plan. The last time players were able to take part in ranked matches was during the closed beta, which came to a close at the end of May. Not many changes are expected, but patch notes are being prepared by the development team as we speak.
“Hey everyone, it’s been hectic, so I haven’t had a lot of time to post,” Ziegler says on Twitter. “To answer the biggest question: rated (competitive mode) will likely be out some time next week. We’re spending this week putting together that release and making sure it is good.”
Although ranked mode was pretty much ready to go at the end of the closed beta, Riot Games decided to hold off from releasing it at launch to protect the servers and give new players time to learn the game.

Now that ranked is just around the corner though, the pressure is on for players to show what they’re truly made of. One thing’s for sure though, they won’t be aiming to become Valorant in Valorant, since Riot has already confessed the name of the top rank will be changed shortly.
