For the third month in succession, Felix ‘xQc’ Legnyel has taken the crown as Twitch’s most watched streamer. Even by his already high standards, September’s viewership figures were pretty exceptional for xQc as he capitalised heavily on the popularity surrounding Among Us.
According to Esports Charts Pro, xQc was watched for more than 16.8 million hours throughout September. While variety is often the chosen strategy for xQc, Among Us has been a constant feature of his brodcasts as the game continues to be a hit with streamers. While the former Overwatch pro has been widely considered one of Twitch’s biggest streamers for a while now, his recent dominance of the viewership charts has seen many label him as the platform’s most popular creator.
Behind xQc in last month’s viewership charts was Brazilian streamer Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba, whose CS:GO esports watch parties drew in over 10.5 million hours watched. In third is Spanish streamer Ibai ‘ibai’ Llanos, who like xQc streamed plenty of Among Us content to earn himself 9.5 million hours watched.
Another Spanish Twitch star racked up the biggest peak audience of September as Raul ‘AuronPlay’ Alvarez attracted 195,000 viewers to his GTA V roleplay stream on September 24.
With xQc’s popularity showing no signs of stopping, the Canadian is in prime position to be 2020’s most watched Twitch streamer.
