The former T1 player had been without a team since the beginning of February

Team SoloMid has announced that former T1 Valorant player Braxton ‘brax’ Pierce will be joining its roster. The news follows an earlier report from Rush B Media’s Ryan Friend that brax was being pursued by the organisation to become its sixth player.

brax was signed to T1 when it first entered Valorant, and would be later joined by former Counter-Stike: Global Offsenive team iBUYPOWER teammates Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham and Keven ‘AZK’ Larivière. Following a string of disappointing results from the team, both brax and AZK were released at the beginning of February.

T1 is not the only organisation to have struggled recently. TSM has itself succumbed to a poor run of form, having failed to qualify for Valorant Champions Tour Stage 1 Challengers 1 and 2, while missing out on VCT Masters after falling to FaZe Clan in the Challengers 3 tournament.

Although brax’s inclusion in the squad won’t guarantee him a starting spot, the player has a broad agent pool, including Sova, Killjoy, Cypher, and Jett. As such, it appears that TSM is banking on the competition provided by the player to reignite the team’s VCT hopes.

With VCT Stage 2 set to kick off next week, it won’t be long before fans will get a chance to see this hopefully revitalised TSM back in action.
