Sentinels Valorant team signs shroud, no we’re not making this up

After a week of teasers from various members of Sentinels' Valorant team, it has now announced that star streamer shroud has joined for LCQ

Valorant Champions Tour Sentinels sign shroud: shroud wearing a Sentinels jersey

Valorant fans the world over have long-dreamt of streaming superstar and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek take his talents to the main stage of the Valorant Champions Tour. Well it’s time for us to pinch ourselves, as Sentinels has today announced that the man himself will be its fifth for the upcoming last-chance qualifier.

“I’m back, baby”, shroud says – Sentinels jersey donned – in the announcement video as he takes a swig of coffee. As the DOOM-esque music swells in the background, he reminds us all of one very important fact: “I heckin love Tenz”.

This isn’t actually shroud’s first VCT rodeo – though it is by far his most prestigious. Last year, the prolific aimer was joined by fellow FPS retirees Skyler ‘Relyks’ Weaver, Leonardo ‘Laski’ Arroyo, Timmy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An, and Shawn ‘ShawnBM’ Myers as team ‘What’s going on’ took to the 2021 VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 open qualifiers to try their luck at making a run of it. Unfortunately, the team crashed out 2-0 to EZ5 during the round of 64.

You can check out Sentinels’ announcement video below. Michael ‘dapr’ Gulino took to Twitter last week to tell fans to “expect the unexpected” and, well, we certainly didn’t expect this.

Hopefully for shroud, his second outing in the VCT will be far more successful than his first. Regardless, we can’t wait to see how he fares against some of North America’s finest.
