The LEC is really generating some new story lines in the League of Legends universe. Previously the region used to be dominated by the big organisations of G2 Esports and Fnatic, but the last year or so, teams like Rogue, MAD Lions, and yep, even Schalke 04 have been trying their best to disrupt that ever-present storyline – something that’s alluded to in the LEC’s new advert.
In true LEC production style, Andy ‘Vedius’ Day, Indiana ‘Froskurinn’ Black, Eefje ‘sjokz’ Depoortere, and Daniel ‘Drakos’ Drakos have gone toe to toe in a rap battle to help promote the league’s upcoming playoffs. Repping Fnatic, G2, MAD Lions, and Rogue, the casters spit bars about other organisation’s history, before turning on G2 and Fnatic.
“Your rivalry is so outdated,” Sjokz raps. “Your history now lookin’ faded. Eu fans we know you’ve waited, Rogue and MAD now activated. G2, what are you without Caps? A couple of inters fighting over scraps? New kids are here, got that fresh blood, we’ll beat you down, leave you in the mud.”
The rap in full is pretty spicy, so it’s worth giving it a watch down below. But it’s worth remembering that while MAD and Rogue are looking to “take down the monarchy” on the Rift later this week, there are still another two contenders to consider.

SK Gaming and Schalke 04, who both grabbed a playoffs slot right at the end of the season, are also in contention. The two teams will kick off the playoffs on Friday (August 21) with a best of three series.
