LEC star Nisqy confirmed as MAD Lions LoL team midlaner

After spending a split without a team, former Fnatic League of Legends midlaner Nisqy has finally found a new home in MAD Lions for the 2022 LEC Summer Split

LEC MAD Lions sign Nisqy: League of Legends player Nisqy at Fnatic and MAD Lions

League of Legends European Championship side MAD Lions has confirmed the signing of former Fanatic player Yasin ‘Nisqy’ Dinçer for its starting roster heading into the 2022 LEC Summer Split. The team announced the news via Twitter earlier today.

Nisqy found himself out of favour at Fnatic following a premature end to its Worlds 2021 campaign, with the team dropping out of the competition during the group stage after being marred by extenuating circumstances. Fnatic looked to its LEC rivals in MAD Lions for a replacement, snapping up midlaner Marek ‘Humanoid’ Brazda during the off-season.

According to Upcomer’s Brieuc ‘LEC Wooloo’ Seeger who originally reported that a move to MAD Lions was on the cards for Nisqy a couple of weeks ago, he was unable to find a team in time for the start of the 2022 season despite discussions with LCS titan Cloud9 over a potential return. Having joined Fnatic for the 2021 season from Cloud9, Nisqy proved himself on Europe’s biggest stage, leaving many confused when he didn’t find a spot.

Now a member of MAD Lions, Nisqy replaces Steven ‘Reeker’ Chen after the rookie midlaner seemingly didn’t live up to expectations, despite flashes of brilliance during the Spring Split. The German left MAD Lions earlier this month, and was snapped up by Team BDS as the starting midlaner for its academy side.

With Nisqy now back in the LEC, we’re excited to see what the midlaner can bring to this MAD Lions side, and if the team can make it back to Worlds for a third consecutive season.
