London Royal Ravens signs Zed to CDL roster as Alexx returns to the UK

The roster news comes the same day as Ravens' first match in the Stage 1 Major

London Royal Ravens has been dealt another blow to its 2021 Call of Duty League roster, as Alex ‘Alexx’ Carpenter has had to sadly leave the team’s base in the US and fly back to England “to take care of personal family matters,” according to the team.

Royal Ravens has now drafted in fellow Englishman Zach ‘Zed’ Denyer as his replacement, and he will make his debut for the team in the first game of the Stage 1 Major later today, March 3. Despite a long career in CoD esports, and a spot on a CDL roster last season with Paris Legion, Zed was a free agent until today.

Zed has plenty of past experience competing alongside some of Royal Ravens’ current players and coaching staff. He is now reunited with Dylan ‘Dylan’ Henderson and Sean ‘Seany’ O’Connor, who he played with at Team Reciprocity in the final season before the franchising era.

Alexx’s unfortunate departure from the team is the second blow to Royal Ravens’ planned 2021 roster, after Trei ‘Zer0’ Morris was ruled out for the start of the season due to visa issues. 2013 world champion Christopher ‘Parasite’ Duarte was brought in as a temporary replacement for Zer0.

The roster news comes just hours before the start of the 2021 season’s first major, with Royal Ravens starting in the losers bracket after a disappointing 0-5 start during the group stage.
