Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta 2 Dates: Kimberly can be seen

If you thought you had missed out on your chance of playing Street Fighter 6’s beta then don’t give up hope just yet as an early Christmas gift from Capcom has landed underneath the tree as the game is getting a second beta in December. The Street Fighter 6 closed beta 2 dates are set for December 16 – December 19 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, as confirmed by Capcom.

The second closed beta will be largely similar to what we saw back in October with the same eight fighters available: Ryu, Ken, Luke, Jamie, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, and Juri. In addition, the full avatar creation experience and Street Fighter 6 character creation and customisation will be unlocked with the Street Fighter 6 battle hub also available to explore. Therefore, we are in store for even more wild and wacky humanoid avatars later this month.

Of course, online matches will also be available with crossplay support as well. But, there are some tweaks Capcom has made for this second beta test, with the most notable being an input delay reduction feature in the menu. This shortens the gap between your inputs and the action on screen and is particularly useful for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players with a 120 Hz monitor.

On top of that, some bugs have been fixed and the online battle input delay has also been adjusted. You can find a more detailed overview of all the changes and the Street Fighter 6 characters balancing adjustments that have been made on the Street Fighter 6 website here.

Everyone who managed to get in on the first closed beta will automatically be invited to the second one and players who missed out can also sign up via the game’s website here. Due to codes being sold online for the first beta some changes have been made by Capcom and you will now need to link your Capcom ID and desired platform together before applying for the beta via the website. So, be sure to create your account and get everything linked up before you sign up or else you will have wasted your chance to get in.

The cutoff point to sign up for this beta is 6:59 AM PT, 9:59 AM ET, 14:59 PM GMT, 15:59 CET on December 11, 2022. This gives Capcom some time to draw players via a lottery before the beta begins.

What are you waiting for? Go and sign up so you can get a taste of the game before the Street Fighter 6 release date in 2023. And if you plan to play as some of the fan-favourite characters our Street Fighter 6 Juri guide and Street Fighter 6 Ken guide will be able to get you started.
