When Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel stepped up to the plate to play the Who Wants to be a Millionaire game on Twitch, no one was really sure which way it’d go. However, when a $300 question came up about the capital of his home country Canada, many thought it’d be an easy round – but they were wrong.
After staring at the question ‘what is the capital of Canada?’ for a couple of seconds, the streamer opts for a 50:50. However, before the game removes Winnipeg and Whistler from the table, the former Overwatch pro, who has played for his country in the Overwatch World Cup no less, decides that the capital is “Ontario 100%”, and begins clicking the option repeatedly.
As he locks in his terribly incorrect answer, Twitch chat goes absolutely nuts, poking fun of xQc’s Canadian heritage and his education in the process. As the answer is revealed, xQc can’t quite believe it and tabs out of the game to Google it himself.
“Ottawa?,” he says questioningly. “Guys, there isn’t a single person currently alive that gives a fuck about Ottawa. What? How is that the capital of Canada, dude?”
“I lived two hours away from Ottawa and we’ve never visited. No one gives a flying fuck about it. How is it the capital of Canada?”
It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement for the country’s capital and certainly won’t be used by the tourism board, but it is very, very funny. The Canadian has done some pretty stupid things before, like stream sniping others in a Twitch Rivals competition, but this one certainly takes the biscuit.
