Hasan ‘Hasan’ Piker, best known for his political commentary, has finally hit the one million follower mark on Twitch. The milestone was reached while the streamer was commentating on the second impeachment of Donald Trump.
Hasan already had a solid following prior to 2020, however last year saw the streamer’s popularity soar. This was due largely to his timely coverage of major events such as the Black Lives Matter protests and the 2020 US presidential election – the latter of which saw him achieve his largest ever viewership peak of over 225,000.
Hasan’s growth over the last year has also been aided by his appearances in star-studded Among Us lobbies – alongside some of the platform’s biggest streamers – at the peak of the social sleuthing game’s Twitch explosion. This includes the record breaking lobby which featured US Congresswomen and fellow progressives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
Prior to his life as a Twitch streamer, Hasan was heavily involved with The Young Turks, a progressive news network for which the streamer hosted, produced, and wrote content for over a few years. He has also written for HuffPost’s politics section.

2021 has already been a huge year for Hasan, with the commentator having already covered the Georgia senate runoff elections alongside the attack on the United States Capitol building. Having recently delved into survival title Rust under the roleplaying pseudonym of Hank Pecker, Hasan continues to explore new content opportunities.
