He’s known as the two-time champion, the head of the Champions Club, and the creator of the Triple Threat Challenge, but now Guy ‘Dr DisRespect‘ Beahm is getting ready to add a new title to his name: successful author. That’s right, the popular Twitch streamer has inked a book deal for a comedic memoir.
The book, which is called Violence. Speed. Momentum. A Memoir, will be available to purchase in spring 2021 and will explore “never-before-told stories” about what’s it’s like to be “the greatest gamer in the universe” according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’ll also be published simultaneously as an audio book from Simon & Schuster Audio, read of course, by the Doc himself.
The memoir will be written in the same style as Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy Anchorman memoir a few years ago, and although the tales to differ, expect the same tongue-in-cheek humour and brash comments that Dr DisRespect is associated with.
Of course, the Doc isn’t the only streamer to venture into the writing world. Last year Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has released two books to date titled Ninja: Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming and Ninja: The Most Dangerous Game: A Graphic Novel.
Ninja, however, doesn’t have a TV deal under his belt unlike the Doc. Last year, it was confirmed the two-time had signed a deal with Skybound Entertainment, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s production company, to create a narrative driven television series based on his character.
The Doc regularly claims he’s looking for world domination, at with the rate he’s currently operating at, he might just find it.
