Dr DisRespect wears Warriors cap to the NBA to troll players

Dr DisRespect

Guy ‘Dr DisRespect‘ Beahm was in virtual attendance last night as the Houston Rockets beat Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the first round of the 2019/20 Playoffs. While the pandemic prohibits in-person attendance, fans can sit in the virtual seats and watch a livestream of the event from inside the bubble.

One such fan was Dr DisRespect himself, who in typical Doc style, took the opportunity to troll both teams. Doc is a Golden State Warriors fan, and while Curry and co missed out on the playoffs this year in an injury plagued season, they’ve won the Championship in three of the last five seasons.

How does this link up to last night’s game? Well, not only did Doc attend wearing a Golden State Warriors Championship cap, the Warriors have a big history with both the Rockets and the Thunder. The Warriors beat the Thunder to the Western Conference title in Game 7 in 2016, and have eliminated the Rockets four times in the past five seasons.

The Rockets had the last laugh this time around though, with their stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook combining for 37 points and 11 assists in the close fought 104-102 game.

It’s not the first time Doc has trolled players either. He had courtside seats to last year’s Finals when the Warriors played the Toronto Raptors, and famously trash talked the Raptors throughout the match-up. Doc showed up to that game in full character, frequently mimicking the players’ shots as they went up to the basket.

The Warriors eventually lost that series 4-2, lost Kevin Durant shortly after, and the Golden Dynasty prepared for a rebuild.

Despite that, it appears that the Two-Time is far from a fair weather fan and is sticking by his team after a difficult season.

Whoever was running the sound system in the bubble clearly spotted Dr DisRespect and decided to have some fun of their own, pumping Doc’s song Alleyways into the arena during the final timeout of the game.
