Sons of the Forest has secretly been one of the most anticipated games of the year for survival game fans. But, you are going to have to wait a little longer to get your hands on it as Sons of the Forest has been delayed to October 2022.
In an announcement published on Twitter, Endnight Games said that the original May 20, 2022 release date for the game was “overly ambitious”. And, in order to deliver the “next step in survival games, we’ve decided to move our release date to October 2022.”
While disappointing, overall this is definitely the right move if the game isn’t up to par right now in its development cycle. October is looking rather quiet on the survival game and PC front right now with only big-budget blockbusters like Forspoken and Gotham Knights scheduled to release in the month. So the game might be able to make an impact then, especially given the terrifying scares it will have thanks to the creatures in the game.
We do get a brief glimpse at the game in the delay announcement tweet, but we still have seen very little outside of the gameplay trailers which have infrequently been released.
