The sky is no longer the limit in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ new limited time mode. Motor gliders are set to be added to the game’s Labs experience, an experimental environment in which devs can test upcoming features, giving players access to the sky for the first time ever.
The motor glider, which was leaked by PlayerIGN last week, is a two-person vehicle that will allow you to take to the skies in the battle royale. The vehicle is still in development, hence why it has been added to Labs for testing, and spawns on both Miramar and Erangel.
To takeoff, the motor glider will need to hit 65 km/h. There’s no limit to how high you can go, but the engine will start to lose power the higher you climb. The fuel consumption rate is also tied to how fast you’re going.
The second in command can rain down shots from above, as well as throw molotovs onto unsuspecting victims. Be careful though, the engines of the gliders can be destroyed, leaving you without power. You can however glide and land safely if you can find a decent landing strip.
The motor gliders Labs experience is available from December 19 until December 22.
