The League of Legends offseason is in full-swing, and North America’s League Championship Series (LCS) is always one of the spicier regions for roster moves. According to a new report, this trend is set to continue as Team Liquid looks to add a Worlds 2022 champion to the team.
As per Blix’s Alejandro ‘anonimotum’ Gomis, star jungler and champion impersonator extraordinaire Hong ‘Pyosik’ Chang-hyeon has a verbal agreement in place with Team Liquid. Pyosik recently confirmed on stream that he would be leaving Korea due to being unable to find a team for the 2023 LCK season.
Pyosik to Team Liquid certainly checks out, considering the all-Korean roster the NA outfit is reportedly looking to field. The team has already confirmed the signing of Jang ‘MaRin’ Gyeong-hwan as its new head coach and, as per freelance reporter Brieuc ‘LEC Wooloo’ Seeger, Park ‘Summit’ Woo-tae is set to take up the other import slot.
With Jo ‘CoreJJ’ Yong-in set to stay, that leaves two spaces for NA residents to fill. Judging from a recent video discussing the team’s approach to roster building for 2023, Liquid will be looking to promote academy players Harry ‘Haeri’ Kang and Sean ‘Yeon’ Sung to complete a roster that blends veteran stars with exciting regional prospects.

Should the team materialise according to current reports, then Team Liquid looks to be a dark horse coming into the new season.
