2020 LoL Worlds finalist and current TSM support Hu ‘SwordArt’ Shuo-Chieh has rapidly ascended to the rank one spot on the North American server. The feat was achieved on one of the player’s alt accounts, ‘Swordart77777’.
Looking at SwordArt’s op.gg, we can see that the player has had overwhelming success on Maokai and Alistar, with both champions sitting at an 80%+ win rate. His most played champion meanwhile is Pantheon, with the player having piloted the champion 20 times so far with a 65% win rate. The Leona he featured on so often last season has also been picked 11 times, with a cool 64% win rate.
Overall, the player currently reigns as the only player on the server to have gained over 800 LP, sporting a 63% win rate overall across just over 100 games. In second place currently is botlaner ‘Asyc’, who is sitting within the 700 LP range. LoL legend Henrik ‘Froggen’ Hansen is currently tied for third with 100 Thieves jungler Can ‘Closer’ Çelik at just shy of 600 LP.
SwordArt joined TSM during the 2020-2021 offseason in a deal worth $6 million, with the expectation that the support would bring some LPL flair and quality to the team. Although TSM lost its first game of the LCS Lock In tournament to 100 Thieves, the team quickly bounced back with two straight wins against Counter Logic Gaming and Golden Guardians.

Having also acquired Tristan ‘PowerOfEvil’ Schrage, Heo ‘Huni’ Seung-hoon, and Lawrence ‘Lost’ Hui during the offseason, TSM has completely transformed its squad. With the retirement of its talisman, Søren ‘Bjergsen’ Bjerg, at the end of last season, this fresh-faced TSM must now develop a fresh identity heading into the 2021 LCS Spring Split – seemingly with SwordArt at the helm.
