The Alienware Games is back for 2020 and it’s teamed up with Overwolf, League of Legends Championship Series, and Playwire to award Alienware Aurora gaming gear and in-game currency to you for playing games. You might not believe it, but yes, you can win in-game prizes for just playing games.
Players in the US and Canada from July 17 will be able to participate in climbing their way up the Alienware Games leaderboard. The top 250 players on the board each week will be awarded in-game currency but don’t worry if you’re not in that top bracket, more prizes will be given out randomly to other participants too.
Additionally, at the end of the Alienware Games, there will be more prizes given out in the form of the Alienware Aurora. The top 16 players will get given one of these powerful gaming rigs, but another eight will be picked randomly to receive one too.
If you want to get in on the action you can download the Alienware Games app here. Sign in to your Overwolf account, and register for an Alienware Arena Rewards account and connect it to the app. Then the Alienware Games will automatically log your stats and give you points for performance.
The games that work with the app are League of Legends, Fortnite, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive modes – if you’re into any of these games then you’re halfway there to being on those leaderboards.
If you’re not playing these games then you can also win rewards by watching the LCS on Riot Games’ Watch platform to get unique codes to enter into the Alienware Games app.
