SK Telecom’s legendary mid laner Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok is arguably the greatest League of Legends player of all time and is currently hunting down his fourth World Championship title at Worlds 2019.
If SKT are to be crowned champions in Paris on November 10, then it would mean Faker would be getting his fourth champion skin added to the game. One Reddit user, SSBMReb, pointed out that this would mean that Riot would have created more skins for Faker than they have done for 21 of the game’s champions – that is if he doesn’t pick one of those 21 to be the subject for his winner’s skin.
For those who don’t know, the players on the World Championship winning team each year get to have their own skin designed for them to be introduced into the game to commemorate their performance. Each player helps Riot in the design process and choose one champion for the skin to be given to. So far, Faker has had skins made for Zed (2013), Ryze (2015) and Syndra (2016). If he were to get a fourth skin, this would mean he would have had more designs made for him than the likes of Kalista, Tahm Kench and Qiyana.
You can see all the champions that Faker has surpassed in skin-count so far – as well as the ones he will surpass if he becomes world champion again – in SSBMReb’s Reddit post below.
SK Telecom face G2 Esports in the semifinals of Worlds 2019 on November 3 for their chance to play either FunPlus Phoenix or defending champions Invictus Gaming in the final.
