Tfue and Cloakzy will reunite for the Fortnite Champion Series

Tfue and Cloakzy

Popular streamer and Fortnite pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney will be featuring in a four-man squad with former teammate Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore for the upcoming Fortnite Champion Series competition.

The Champion Series for Chapter 2, Season 1 will be a Squads competition and Tfue will be competing alongside Cloakzy, despite the two previously falling out during last season’s Trios tournament. Cloakzy and then trios teammate Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan had decided to sit out a weekend of the competition in order to do sponsored streams of the new Madden game instead, despite Tfue turning down the same offer thinking that the three players would be competing. This led to the team splitting up and Tfue finding a new trio to compete with.

However, it appears the two former FaZe Clan players have settled their differences and will compete together once more. The pair join up with Tfue’s two Trios teammates that he finished the season with following his fallout with Cloakzy – Team Liquid’s Alex ‘Fiber’ Bonetello and a lesser-known pro player and streamer, ‘Khanada’.

In a tweet, Cloakzy confirmed that this was the quartet that would be competing in the Champion Series. It’s certainly a strong squad and one that has plenty of experience competing with each other.

As well as Tfue’s squad, there are a number of notable teams that have also been confirmed for the upcoming Champion Series.

The 2019 Fortnite World Cup Solos champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf will be leading a side featuring NRG’s Williams ‘Zayt’ Aubin, Ghost Gaming’s Rocco ‘Saf’ Morales and Team Liquid’s ‘Stretched’.

Over in the EU region, NRG player Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish will team up with FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson, Klaus ‘Stompy’ Konstanzer of Eleven Gaming and one half of the Fortnite World Cup Duos winning pair Daivd ‘Aqua’ Wang of Cooler Esports.
