It is safe to say that it has been quite the busy Summer so far for both Rocket League players and Fortnite fans. In Fortnite, the No Sweat Summer event has been bringing the sun to Epic Games’ battle royale – although Fortnite NPC Lil Whip needs to wash his mouth out with soap. As for those of you who prefer Epic Games’ soccar title, we’ve seen countless collaborations over the last few weeks – including a WWE Summerslam-themed Octane bundle. If you want to show the world that you like both of these games, though, it looks like Epic Games has got you covered. New Fortnite leaks have revealed a set of Rocket League-themed cosmetics are coming to celebrate this year’s RLCS.

That’s right! You might not have expected it, but you’re going to be able to get some RLCS-themed items in Fortnite very soon. How do we know this?

Well, ever the reliable source, Fortnite leaker ‘HYPEX’ has shared a couple of images to suggest that a handful of RLCS items are coming to Fortnite through a series of limited-time challenges.

The RLCS themed items Fortnite players should be able to get their hands on in the near future are: the Regal Rocket glider, the Golden Goal spray, the Nice Shot emoticon, and the Rocket League Trophy back bling.

What makes this interesting is that it looks like you will be able to unlock all of these items through in-game challenges related to a special Fortnite Creative map and/or mode titled RL Live Deathmatch. We don’t want to assume to know exactly how this is going to work just yet, but it feels somewhat safe to expect to see something Rocket League themed that makes use of the battle royale’s wide array of vehicles.

2022’s iteration of the Rocket League Championship Series only started last week, but it’s only scheduled to last until August 14. This presents us as fans with an interesting timeline that could see these RLCS items and challenges arrive as early as August 10.

Another Fortnite leaker, ‘iFireMonkey’, has suggested that these challenges will go live at 09:30 PST / 11:30 EST / 16:30 BST on August 9. They should then be available until August 15 at 00:00 PST / 03:00 EST / 08:00 BST.

Is Fortnite one of the best battle royale games out there right now? Without a doubt. Does it need Rocket League cosmetics? Probably not, but we’re not about to start complaining.
