Australian streamer Kathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten has finally become the second creator to get their own skin as part of Fortnite’s Icon Series after the collection was first announced in January 2020.
The release of Loserfruit’s skin was initially set for June 3, but was pushed back along with many other events and reveals in gaming due to Black Lives Matter protests in American and across the world. But on June 21 she got the chance to show off her own Icon Series skin, which is now live in the Fortnite store.
For her in-game look, Loserfruit is donning a reactive rainbow sports outfit, has her own Bounce Berry emote, and can equip a fruit-themed dual harvesting tool, the Fruit Puncher. The streamer, who has over 1.4 million followers on Twitch, follows Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins in getting their own Icon Series skin. Spanish streamer David ‘TheGrefg’ Canovas is the next in line to receive a skin as part of the collection.
On revealing the skin to her Twitch viewers, Loserfruit – who was dressed in the same outfit her in-game skin would be wearing – could barely contain her excitement. “Look at me! I look amazing!” she says.
Aside from her January 5 charity stream, the reveal of her Icon Series skin was Loserfruit’s most watched stream ever in terms of her peak audience. The viewer count topped out at over 23,000, according to Twitch Tracker.
