Fortnite Chapter 4 is underway, with a whole range of new content for us to enjoy and mess around with, and you’ll need to go to the best landing spots in Fortnite to find them. Since the Fracture event saw the entire island be created using chunks of different islands, there are plenty of different places to visit, and some of them could top our list.
Dropping into these locations could prove challenging, since plenty of other players will want to check out the new Points of Interest, so you’ll need to activate an Augment in Fortnite quickly to survive after. You could even make use of the Fortnite Oathbound Chests to get some awesome items at the start of each match. Otherwise, here’s what we believe are the best spots to drop into in the current Fortnite map.

These are the best Fortnite landing spots for Chapter 4 Season 1:
- Slappy Shores
- Faulty Splits
- The Citadel
- Lonely Labs
The best location to drop might change with each match, but that’s because the Fortnite Hot Spots mechanic will highlight random POIs each match with drones full of high-tier loot for you to grab.
Slappy Shores is a great little POI to the East of the map, which is a pretty standard town. However, the fact that it is pretty normal makes it an easy spot to land and loot quickly, as many players will be more interested in the larger and more unique named locations.
Faulty Splits is the closest contender to being a replacement for Tilted Towers right now. While it is fairly small compared to the fan-favourite location, it’s certainly a great spot for those wanting to complete their elimination quests.
The Citadel is home to the Oathbound characters you’ll see, including The Ageless in Fortnite. This is a hot location to land at, meaning there will be plenty of other players to fight, but there’s the chance at some great loot by dropping here.
Finally, Lonely Labs is a fairly apt title for this location, as it seems lonely and barren compared to other POIs. However, the fact that it is far from many other named locations and that it is in the Northeast portion of the map means it won’t be as contended as many other Points of Interest.
