Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is once again bringing Nintendo flair to the Musou genre and Omega Force’s latest has a wide variety of characters to choose from. All these Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes characters are split across Three Houses’ original factions, and there are four different versions of the player character to choose from.
The factions in the game all have playable characters, but there are dozens of other characters in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes. These include members of Berling’s Mercenaries, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, the Ardestian Empire, the Leicester Alliance, and more. However, this guide will exclusively focus on the most important characters, the ones you can play.

Shez – Player Character
Shez is available as both a female and male in Three Hopes and is the protagonist of Three Hopes. They are one of the most varied and diverse characters able to learn a number of different classes.
Byleth – Player Character
Byleth is the original protagonist of Three Houses, the tactical RPG. In Three Hopes they can be either male or female and are one of the major antagonists in the game.
Edelgard – Scarlet Blaze Character
Edelgard is the future emperor of the Adrestian Empire and the leader of the Scarlet Blaze. She wields an axe as her main weapon.
Hubert – Scarlet Blaze Character
Hubert is a member of the Adrestian Empire and a member of the Scarlet Blaze in Three Hopes. As a noble, he wields a typical thin, precise sword as well as magic.
Dorothea – Scarlet Blaze Character
Dorothea is another member of the Scarlet Blaze and wasn’t born into nobility. She is a spell caster and wields a number of magic attacks.
Ferdinand – Scarlet Blaze Character
Ferdinand is the next member of the Scarlet Blaze and is a member of the Scarlet Blaze, hailing from the Adrestian Empire.
Bernadetta – Scarlet Blaze Character
Bernadetta is another member of the Scarlet Blaze and was born into a noble family and is a member of House Varley. She is one of Fire Emblem’s ranged characters.
Caspar – Scarlet Blaze Character
As a member of Scarlet Blaze, Caspar is one of the faction’s axe-wielding characters focused on using heavy weaponry.
Petra – Scarlet Blaze Character
Petra is another sword-wielding fighter in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes and hails from Brigid as a member of the Scarlet Blaze.
Linhardt – Scarlet Blaze Character
Linhardt is a member of the Scarlet Blaze and hails from the Adrestian Empire. Linhardt is mostly focused on magic and spells, with weak melee combat abilities.
Monica – Scarlet Blaze Character
Monica is another member of the Scarlet Blaze and is an assassin with a number of stealth skills and abilities at their disposal.
Manuela – Scarlet Blaze Character
Offering lessons in sword and faith, Manuela is an instructor at the academy and has a wide variety of options available to use.
Jeritza – Scarlet Blaze Character
Jeritza leads armed combat training and has a number of different spells at their disposal, alongside a scythe and sword.
Dimitri – Azure Gleam Character
Dimitri is a prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and a member of the Azure Gleam, wielding a lance as his main weapon.
Dedue – Azure Gleam Character
Dedue wields his heavy weaponry and is a member of the Azure Gleam within Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes.
Felix – Azure Gleam Character
Felix hails from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and is a member of the Azure Gleam. In Three Hopes he is focused on using his traditional swords.
Mercedes – AZURE GLEAM CHARACTER
As a member of the Azure Gleam, Mercedes focuses on spells and magic when it comes to her attacks.
Ashe – Azure Gleam Character
Ashe is proficient at ranged combat, as one of the only ranged fighters in the Azure Gleam and hails from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus.
Annette – Azure Gleam Character
As a member of the Azure Gleam, Annette uses a mixture of axe attacks and some spells.
Sylvian – Azure Gleam Character
Sylvian is another close-combat attacker for the Azure Gleam, this time wielding an iron lance and being able to attack with powerful strikes with it.
Ingrid – Azure Gleam Character
Ingrid is the last student in the Azure Gleam faction and wields a lance, alongside Sylvian and Dimitri.
Rodrigue – Azure Gleam Character
Rodrigue is a member of the Azure Gleam within Three Hopes and uses a mixture of magic attacks, with his lance.
Claude – Golden Wildfire Character
Claude is a member of the Golden Wildfire and is heir to house Reigan. The focus in combat for Claude is ranged attacks using a bow.
Lorenz – Golden Wildfire Character
As a member of the Golden Wildfire from the Leicester Alliance, Lorenz can hold their own with a lance.
Hilda – Golden Wildfire Character
As a member of the Golden Wildfire, Hilda uses her overhead iron axe to decimate hordes of enemies in combat.
Raphael – Golden Wildfire Character
Raphael is another member of the Golden Wildfire that hails from the Leicester Alliance. He is all about muscle and punching power, using his gauntlets and heavy weapons to kill enemies.
Lysithea – Golden Wildfire Character
Lysithea is one of the few magic-focused members of the Golden Wildfire and also has a training bow to hand.
Ignatz – Golden Wildfire Character
Ignatz, however, is focused on ranged combat with bow precision and prowess.
Marianne – Golden Wildfire Character
As a member of the Golden Wildfire, Marianne focuses on healing spells and other magic-based abilities to attack.
Leonie – Golden Wildfire Character
Leonie wields a lance and focuses on keeping opponents at range with it in Three Hopes.
Shamir – Golden Wildfire Character
Shamir is proficient in ranged attacks with lances and bows but mostly wields a bow in Three Hopes.
Yuri – Ashen Wolves Character
Yuri is your standard sword wielder within the Ashen Wolves faction.

As a member of the Ashen Wolves, Constance has a short sword to hand but mixes that up with fire magic.
Balthus – Ashen Wolves Character
Balthus is a brute force attacker using fists and other powerful weapons to take down enemies.
Hapi – Ashen Wolves Character
Hapi is the magic wielder within the Ashen Wolves and has a number of spells at her command.
Jeralt – Additional Character
Jeralt is a lance-wielder in Fire Emblem Warriors and has a strong focus on melee attacks.
Rhea – Post-Game Character
Rhea is one of the most powerful characters in the game, unlockable after you have beaten the main campaign and wielding a wide variety of spells and magical abilities.
Sothis – Post-Game Character
Sothis is the second mysterious and powerful post-game character. With a wide variety of attacks, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Arval – Post-Game Character
Arval is a mysterious being with a unique and highly diverse set of attacks at their disposal. They are unique to Three Hopes and act as a key ally to Shez.
