This is a public service announcement for every single FIFA 23 early access player out there – and all of you who will be jumping into EA’s new football game when the full FIFA 23 release date rolls around. Playing FIFA 23’s new FUT Moments mode is, without a doubt, the best place to get packs and coins at launch – and we’re betting that it’s going to be a decent place to get SBC fodder in the weeks to come.
While it’s been relatively common knowledge for some time now that FIFA 23 is adding a new way to earn Ultimate Team rewards through FUT Moments, we didn’t know just how rewarding this new game mode was going to be at first. Sure, it sounded good on paper, but we know how these things go – sometimes, they’re just not that good.
However, that isn’t the case with this one. Now that we’re starting to see people getting their hands on the game, it’s becoming clear that FUT Moments should be the first place you stop when you’re starting to set up your squad.
If you don’t want to take our word for it, though, this video from FIFA content creator ‘Krasi’ explains everything. In the Pitch Perfect section of FUT Moments, the challenges are quite literally as simple as ‘make five ground passes’. Sure, these simple challenges are only going to reward you with one star at a time, but they take seconds to complete. If you just set aside an hour of your time to play through a set of these, you could find yourself bagging a free Premium Gold Pack or even something a little more valuable like an Ultimate Draft Token Pack or an 81-83 Rated Rare Players Pick.
We know that isn’t going to get you any of the best FIFA 23 strikers or best FIFA 23 goalkeepers, but it’s important to note that all of these packs are tradeable. So, that means you’re going to be getting players for your squads, SBC fodder, or coins – at the very least.
The more FUT Moments challenges you do, the harder they’re going to become – and the more stars you’ll be able to earn. In some of the rotating playlists, you’ll find challenges along the lines of “pass fewer than three times and score with your LWB” and “pass from CB to CAM and score with a volley”. The AI difficulty and amount of time you have to complete each challenge varies, but you won’t need to play a whole game each time you want to complete one. This isn’t replacing Squad Battles, but it’s a quicker way to earn instant rewards.
So, while you’re trying to get your head around the FIFA 23 FUT chemistry changes, we highly recommend you check out this brand new game mode. Even if you earn a handful of stars to pick up the Welcome Pack, that’s tradeable items you didn’t have before – and it’s only going to take you a few minutes.
