Fall Guys might be free to play on PC, Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch, but there are a few things you need to do once you download it on your chosen platform to get the most out of this bean-filled party game. If you’re jumping into this game for the first time following the aptly named Season 1 Free For All update, you may find that you’re asked to activate your Epic Games on Fall Guys. What does this mean? Well… That’s what we’re here for.
Fall Guys was originally published by Devolver Digital. However, in March 2021 the Tonic Games Group (which includes Fall Guys’ developer Mediatonic) was acquired by Epic Games. This led to people needing to download a new launcher halfway through Season 6, but it’s also something that has led to you having to activate your Epic Games account on Fall Guys. This feature enables Fall Guys crossplay and, more importantly, cross-progression.
So, like Rocket League and Fortnite – two of Epic Games’ biggest multi-platform free-to-play titles – Fall Guys has all the bells and whistles you’d expect from it. You’ll be able to play with your friends, no-matter the platform, and all yours Fall Guys skins will be available everywhere you play. All you need to know is how to link your accounts.
So, without further ado, let’s go into how that actually works. You’ll be pleased to know that it’s fairly simple, once you get your head around it.
How to activate Epic Games on Fall Guys
If you want to activate your Epic Games account on Fall Guys and link your Fall Guys account to your Epic Games account, all you need to do is log into your Epic Games account through Fall Guys.
When you boot Fall Guys up, you should be prompted to link the two accounts. All you need to do is follow the onscreen instructions, log in to your Epic Games account through Fall Guys on the platform you want to play on, and then link the two.
You should be able to do this through a website link that appears on-screen or through a scannable QR code – which is a lot easier. Linking your Epic Games account with your Fall Guys account on PlayStation, for example, will make the progress from that account the one you use going forward. So, if you want to play on Xbox going forwards, you’ll need to do all of this through your Xbox.
However, if you have been playing on PlayStation and you want to start playing on Xbox, you will need to do this on your PlayStation first to activate Epic Games on this Fall Guys account – making it the “primary”.

If you’ve done this a little wrong and you want to swap your “primary” Fall Guys account, you can by following these steps:
- Head to Fall Guys Support here
- Click “Epic Games Accounts” and select “Submit A Request”
- Select “Epic Games Accounts: Profile and Items Transfers” from the dropdown menu, then select “Update Primary Platform Profile / Primary Profile Switch” from another
- Select your chosen primary platform from the options and fill in the rest of the form before submitting
Following this, you should be met with an email that asks you to confirm if you would like to migrate accounts and change your primary platform. Then, as if by magic, it should be done!

When you get here, if you log in and then click ‘account’ from the drop-down under your account name, you should be able to link up your PSN account, Xbox account, and Ninteno account all under the connections tab.
