OfflineTV’s Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang has announced that he will be taking a break from content creation. The Taiwanese-Canadian personality states in a tweet that he will be returning to Canada in order to take care of his father.

As part of his statement, the content creator clarifies that he will continue streaming, albeit only to fulfil contractual obligations, before signing off with a thank you to everyone for their understanding.

Toast has had an incredibly successful 2020, following his move from streaming giant Twitch to competitor Facebook Gaming at the tail end of 2019. The explosion of social sleuthing title Among Us during the summer of last year saw the creator become one of the game’s biggest streamers. Topping three million YouTube subscribers before the year was out, Toast also landed a spot in the 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 games list alongside fellow OfflineTV star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and support from members of the personality’s community, alongside a slew of fellow creators such as Seán ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin, Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, and Pokimane.

At the time of writing, there is currently no word on how long DisguisedToast’s hiatus from content creation will last.
