Evo 2022 Multivesus 2v2 Tournament: A screen showing multiple fighters can be seen

Today seems to be the day that keeps on giving when it comes to MultiVersus news. Fans who are excited about this upcoming fighting game can look forward to a MultiVersus EVO 2022 2v2 tournament and check out the newly unveiled Scooby-Doo stage right now.

This new free-to-play platform fighter is set to release sometime in 2022, hopefully before EVO 2022, so players can get some practice in before the tournament in August. The top 32 teams will compete to take part and win a chunk of that $100,000 prize pool. Registration for the EVO tournament will open on May 30, 2022.

The game is being developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. MultiVersus doesn’t appear to be a main event at EVO, more of a sidepiece to all the other big events that will be going on around it – but it should be a big pull for the event despite that.

EVO 2022 is set to take place from August 5 to August 7 and will be held at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.

Players wanting to hone their skills and find their perfect character to demolish their opponents will have the opportunity to do so sooner rather than later. An alpha test is set to run from May 19 to May 27, meaning any players who get in and get to play around will be able to get to grips with the game and get a head start over their competitors when it comes to the EVO 2022 tournament.

You can sign up for the MultiVersus closed alpha here for a chance to get in.
