Escape From Tarkov dog tags worth seven times their price right now

If you're looking to make a quick buck on Escape From Tarkov, you'll be pleased to know that the price of dog tags in-game has skyrocketed - but, just for now

The next Escape From Tarkov wipe has been a long time coming, but it seems to be right around the corner with Battlestate Games’ latest series of in-game events often leading to the phenomenom. EFT’s latest pre-wipe event, though, is one you’re not going to want to miss. Right now, for the next 20-odd hours, Escape From Tarkov dog tags are worth around seven-times as much as they are usually.

Following this somewhat cryptic tweet from EFT developer Battlestate Games, Escape From Tarkov players and content creators were able to log into the extraction shooter to find that the value of in-game dog tags had risen from 378 per level to a whopping 2646 per level – as per ‘Gigabeef‘.

That means that there’s quite a lot of money to be made in Escape From Tarkov right now ahead of the full wipe. It’s worth noting that you’re only able to sell these items to Therapist – not on the flea market. However, you can collect these from anyone and everyone who dies in-game. So, if you’re a fan of rushing, now’s the perfect time to jump in and make some cash.

However, you won’t have forever to take advantage of this. As per the Escape From Tarkov daily reset time, you might only have until December 20 at 00:00 PST / 03:00 EST / 08:00 GMT to take advantage of this boosted value. Don’t worry though, there’s more to come – you’ll just have to keep an eye on official channels and in-game values if you want to know what’s coming up next.

This is the third day of Escape From Tarkov’s pre-wipe in-game events to occur. On December 17, players found that there was boosted weapon XP and character XP. Then, on December 18, players were able to decorate their hideouts by using beers – three of them, for everything, to be precise.  So, who knows what’s next from Battlestate Games and these miniature Escape From Tarkov events.

If you’re wondering what an Escape From Tarkov wipe does, it essentially levels the playing field for everyone in-game. This means that all your progress is wiped – your skills, inventories, and stats are all cleared – and you’re starting from scratch, more or less.

We know Lando Norris said Escape From Tarkov “took days off [his] life”, but this pre-wipe mini-event should at least make earning some money a little less stressful. You can find more Escape From Tarkov tips right here, though, if you’re struggling.
