After not seeing the game for a few years, BioWare has announced that Dragon Age 4 is officially titled Dragon Age Dreadwolf and that more information about the next entry will be revealed later this year.
In a blog post announcing the new name, BioWare details Solas, the Dread Wolf himself, who is a mysterious figure in Dragon Age lore and has been seen in previous games.
BioWare describe him in the blog post as “Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.” Those who have played previous games will have a good idea of Solas already.
Following on from the name reveal, the studio also confirms that the game won’t release this year, but that we will see more from the game in 2022. Hopefully, we get to see gameplay after the only trailers we have seen so far have been cinematic trailers.
