If you’re a fan of dungeon crawling, demons, demonic creatures, and fighting demons and demonic creatures while dungeon crawling, you’ll be pleased to know that the next Diablo 4 beta weekend is about to start. We all know these periods of beta testing are vital for development teams – and important troubleshooting periods before any game comes out. However, the Diablo 4 community manager has popped up online telling players they should expect long queue times when they jump into the Diablo 4 beta – because they’re actually designed that way. What’s that all about?
Well, what that is all about, according to community manager ‘PezRadar’ in this Diablo 4 forum post on expectations for the upcoming Diablo 4 open beta, is that Blizzard “need queues to properly stress test [its’] systems”.
So, while that seems fair enough, it does mean that – on top of players needing to expect long queue times “during peak regional windows” and “particularly on Friday” when the open beta begins – players should expect long queues throughout. Blizzard is “designing to ensure [it has] them some of the time”.
Yeah, we don’t know how we feel about that – as logical as it all is. The Diablo 4 beta start time nears and we’re already being told we won’t be able to get into it straight away? It’s certainly frustrating.
However, that does give us more time to decide which of the Diablo 4 classes we want to play as – and look into what the Diablo 4 beta max level is.
PezRadar has also mentioned that players should expect some downtime as and when maintenance is required, and that there might be a few bugs – of which players can and should report. This feedback is important to the success of the final Diablo 4 release date – and, you know, we should all remember that this is a beta test after all. It’s not going to be perfect, as much as we’d like it to be.
So, if you find that the Diablo 4 servers are down – and you want to know how to check their status – you can here. It’s also worth checking all the Diablo 4 error codes spotted online and the available solutions here. We know everyone wants to maximise their time playing, but sometimes there’s going to be issues; we just need to hope that we can all still get our hands on the Diablo 4 beta rewards.
