S1mple calls racist Twitch donator a “piece of s***”

The CS:GO player's donation message feature is being abused

One of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players, Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev swung by Twitch today to play a few games of the shooter, but his experience was marred by a series of donations which had racist messages attached to them.

The streamer, who’s been caught on the wrong side of Twitch’s community guidelines before, appears to be plagued by a viewer who insists on donating 50 roubles to send long messages filled with racist and homophobic slurs. The messages have been sent countless times on his streams in the last two day despite receiving several warnings about them.

On yesterday’s stream, the Natus Vincere player ignored one of the first messages, but when it kept happening you could see s1mple was frustrated. “What is going on man,” he says. “What the fuck are you doing? Shit. Oh man, this donator is a piece of shit person.”

We’re not going to embed the clip for obvious reasons, but if you want to see it for yourself you can do so here.

The mystery donator returned with the spam messages today, but the VOD of the stream has been removed.

This is clearly this is a feature of s1mple’s stream that is being abused. With more than 30,000 viewers tuning in to watch the IEM Katowice winner tear up his matches, s1mple needs to hire better mods, learn how to ban users himself, or disable the message feature altogether, before he lands himself in further hot water with the streaming platform.
