Counter-Strike 2 maps
Here are all the confirmed Counter-Strike 2 maps:
- Dust 2
This is a strong list of maps for fans of CS:GO, with maps that have not featured in the game for quite some time returning, such as Italy, Aztec, and Zoo. With that said, there are some maps that have not yet been revealed to be in Counter-Strike 2, such as Cache, the most recently reworked map for CS:GO. While it’s not yet been confirmed for Counter-Strike 2, it won’t be featured in the Counter-Strike 2 beta.
With the move to the more powerful Source 2 engine, several maps have been completely overhauled in Counter-Strike 2. One fully overhauled Counter-Strike 2 map is Overpass, which takes full advantage of the new tools and rendering features of the Source 2 engine.
There are also several maps that have been somewhat upgraded in Counter-Strike 2, such as Nuke, which use the new Source 2 lighting system. This new physically based rendering system will make for more realistic materials, lighting, and reflections in the Counter-Strike 2 maps over the original CS:GO versions.
Lastly, there are touchstone maps, classic maps that feature improvements to lighting and character read, but are otherwise unchanged. The standout example is Dust 2, which maintains the solid foundations of the fan favourite CS:GO map but with updated visuals.
That’s all there is to know about the Counter-Strike 2 maps on offer. Fans will no doubt have a lot to dig into when the game releases, most of all learning all the ins and outs of the reworked maps as they play the Counter-Strike 2 beta on PC.
