Warzone Season 2 Reloaded has been fully detailed by Activision, including the revamp of Rebirth Island in the form of Rebirth Island Reinforced. But, one of the more surprising changes coming later this week is that Vanguard Royale and Battle Royale will be merged into one mode, simply called ‘Battle Royale’.
The news was confirmed in the patch notes for Warzone Season 2 Reloaded which unveiled the list of changes Battle Royale will see in order to merge the two modes. Thankfully, some key parts of Vanguard Royale’s purer experience will be making their way over to the new Battle Royale mode, rather than the mode being completely taken away.
The first change is that health will be increased to 150, which Raven polled players on earlier this month. Vanguard Royale contracts will be integrated into Battle Royale, and all public events from the mode will move over to the regular mode.
Vanguard Royale has been a hit since it launched removing more modern equipment from Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War and focusing on a classic WW2 shooter experience. But, Raven Software has told Charlie Intel that they “don’t want two different communities playing two different battle royales”.
A bunch more changes are being introduced in Season 2 Reloaded, all of which are catalogued in Activision’s extended blog post. However, one of the big changes is the revamp of the aforementioned Rebirth Island. We have a rundown of those changes, so you can know what you are in for ahead of the fight on Rebirth Island Reinforced later this week.
