100 Thieves has recruited Rhys ‘Rated’ Price as its latest Call of Duty: Warzone player and content creator. The former London Royal Ravens pro joins the organisation with seven years of competitive Call of Duty experience under his belt. However, that chapter of his career came to a halt during the 2020 Call of Duty League season after being dropped from Royal Ravens’ starting roster.
In an official announcement video posted to Twitter, Rated says that CoD has “the potential to be the biggest esport in the world”. He feels that Warzone can only help Call of Duty esports, as it “brings more eyes” to the scene.
Earlier this month, 100 Thieves announced that Thomas ‘Tommey’ Trewren would be its first dedicated Warzone player and content creator. This comes as part of a larger move into CoD esports for the organisation. While neither player will compete professionally, they bring years of experience to 100 Thieves’ growing pool of Call of Duty talent.
The organisation also recently snapped up OpTic Gaming Los Angeles’ franchise spot in the Call of Duty League. Its LA Thieves franchise will make its debut in the 2021 season.
Welcome Rhys “@Rated_COD” Price as our newest competitive Warzone player & creator!
With 7 years competing in Call of Duty at the highest level, he took Warzone by storm at launch. We're so excited to have him and can't wait to see him play under the 100 Thieves banner! #100T pic.twitter.com/TUnfwLAatD
