New York Subliners has not only formed one of the best Call of Duty League rosters of 2021, but it can also put on a darn good Warzone tournament too. The NYSL WarzoneMania is returning this June with a revised co-ed format and draft system, but promises the same massive prize pool as its first event.
WarzoneMania will feature the usual crowd of the battle royale’s biggest streamers – think the likes of Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad, Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson, Liam ‘Jukeyz’ James, etc. – who will be taking their best Warzone loadout into battle for some intense kill race action. With the draft for the 12 star-studded co-ed teams now complete, the quartets will be busy preparing with their teammates and getting in as much practice as possible in Verdansk before the two-day tournament begins.
Here we’ll run through everything you need to know about the competition, including the WarzoneMania draft and teams, the prize pool, the format, and much more.
NYSL WarzoneMania dates
The WarzoneMania tournament will run for two days across June 7 and June 8. The broadcast can be watched on the New York Subliners’ Twitch channel.
NYSL WarzoneMania format
WarzoneMania will be a two-day kill race tournament. June 7 will be a qualifying day and see all teams compete for a grueling five hours. Once the timer hits zero, teams will report their total kills for the session, and the eight teams with the highest scores will progress to day two.
June 8 will then be another kill race with the eight qualified teams. It’s currently unclear how long teams will have to rack up kills, but it will likely be another five-hour session. The team with the most kills on day two will be crowned the winner and scoop the top prize.
NYSL WarzoneMania prize pool
A prize pool of $100,000 is up for grabs at WarzoneMania in June. The top prize for the winning team is $50,000.
NYSL WarzoneMania draft and teams
The four-player teams for WarzoneMania were decided through a draft, in which 12 team captains took turns picking from a selection of top Warzone tournament players and streamers. With teams being co-ed, there must be a mixture of male and female players on each.
