Call of Duty Warzone’s popular Iron Trials mode is back, but things are going to be a little different this time around. Raven Software has released a small set of patch notes detailing the ruleset for Iron Trials as it returns in Warzone Pacific Season 2. However, there are a couple of differences to the old Iron Trials mode, and one of them sees Stims take a huge hit.
Following the update, a Stims’ health regeneration rate has been decreased by 50% and the movement speed buff it offers has been reduced from 8% to only 3%.
To top it all off, if you take direct damage with a Stim active, its bonus health regeneration will be cancelled. Raven Software has made these changes to shake up the Warzone meta when it comes to Iron Trials – Stims were the go-to tactical equipment for a lot of players.
Thankfully, Iron Trials isn’t going to follow Vanguard Royale’s loadout restrictions, however Raven Software has changed the starting equipment to match the Vanguard-based ground loot. Players will now be equipped with the Top Break and Sawtooth melee weapon. It’s still a six-shooter, but the Top Break does fire marginally faster than the .44 Magnum players used in the old Iron Trials.
Other than this, Iron Trials is going to follow the same ruleset as before – so, veterans of the mode shouldn’t have trouble getting to grips with it’s return. Just like last time, player health is going to be increased from 100 to 250 and health regeneration is going to be a lot weaker than normal. A single Sniper Rifle headshot is going to down an enemy within 30 metres and Stun Grenades are only going to disorient your enemies for half the time.
If you want to get up to speed on the ruleset before dropping into a game, you can find the latest Iron Trials patch notes here. Iron Trials duos is scheduled to be available for Rebirth Island until March 17 – it’s best to keep an eye on Warzone’s Trello board for the latest information regarding playlist updates.
