Call of Duty: Warzone gun glitch plagues TeeP’s Trials tournament

Some of the biggest streamers in the Call of Duty: Warzone community have slammed the game’s developers for a horrifying and game-breaking visual glitch.

Since the Season 5 update, players have been reporting the bizarre glitch where weapons will suddenly begin to deform and be enveloped by a massive box of messed up textures. Despite a weapon tuning patch going out yesterday, the bug still hasn’t been fixed, and during yesterday’s TeeP’s Trials Warzone tournament – which had $15,000 on the line – the glitch saw a number of popular streamers reach the ends of their tethers.

While Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier and Jordan ‘HusKerrs’ Thomas cruised to victory in the tournament, others were plagued by the gun glitch. It even cost some streamers the chance to progress in the tournament after either their own guns or opposition players’ weapons were affected by the bug.

Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ became frustrated after encountering the bug on a number of occasions both in the warmup for the tournament and the real thing. At one point he admits to his chat that he wants to quit the tournament and might not play Warzone again until the issue is fixed.

His tweets throughout also beg the game’s developers to “fix the gun glitch.”

A clearly fed up Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff also had issues, with his trusty Warzone loadout falling victim to the visual bug.

There was even more frustration from ‘BobbyPoff’ who was gunned down after encountering an enemy shrouded by an enormous black box of glitched textures, only for his Gulag weapon to also be glitched out.

Almost all the competitors, including winning duo Symfuhny and Huskerrs, experienced the glitch at some point during the tournament.

While patches for bugs and exploits in Warzone are coming soon, many players are angry that a glitch this serious hasn’t been addressed already and that it would even be possible in the first place.
