Extracting out of Al Mazrah in Warzone 2 mode is a hell of a thrill. After clutching it up in your squad to grab that mighty M13B assault rifle, the only thing that could wrong is getting unexpectedly wiped out by any enemy on your way to safety. Well, it might not have to be that way for you or your teammates in the latest Call of Duty experience – if you’re willing to fork out for some COD points that is.
Recently dropped into the COD store for every Warzone 2 DMZ mode player to inspect, the ominous Dark Rituals 2 bundle joins the ranks of numerous pay-to-win bundles that have cropped up for Call of Duty fans. Available for 2,400 COD points, the bundle’s centrepiece is a new skin for the Konig operator dubbed the ‘Sinister’ variant, featuring an intimidating face mask and tactical gear. There’s even a cheeky reference to the Omega group that was featured heavily in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies mode. You’ll have to look a little closer to see it, though.
Of course, the main feature that will entice players to part ways with their COD points is the additional DMZ Bonus Effect that grants another Self Revive Kit to be used in DMZ mode. The bundle mentions that “this operator skin comes with a free gear item. Item will only equip if the slot is empty.”
Though the Self Revive Kit can be found or purchased within Warzone 2 DMZ mode by using the game’s buy stations, the continued notion of giving players a gear-based advantage is becoming a prominent precedent for bundles. While it doesn’t include any pay-to-win elements at present, the inclusion of advantageous bundles is another point of contention following the arrival of the divisive Modern Warfare 2 BlackCell battle pass.
However, if you fancy picking up the bundle, you can also expect to get your hands on the ‘Seance’ blueprint for the TAQ-56, the ‘Rising Demon’ Vel 46 blueprint, the ‘Watcher’s Eye’ charm, and new cosmetics for your operator showcase.
Call of Duty games have often slotted themselves amid the best FPS games ever made, but despite a positive launch, the community outlook on Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 respectively is split down the middle. Either way, the next entry could be one of many upcoming PS5 games to keep an eye on.
