Picture this: it’s the second-to-last circle in Al Mazrah, you’re deep in Sa’id City with one plate to your name, and you’re on for a winner. Now, we can’t think of anything that would ruin this situation more than being hit with one of the best Warzone 2 sniper rifles from some unseen rooftop – well, expect for one thing. Warzone 2 players are able to knife one another from across Al Mazrah now, without even looking at them. Yeah, that would be a little worse, wouldn’t it?
If you’re sitting there reading this in disbelief, shock even, that such a thing could be possible in a battle royale shooter protected by Ricochet Anti-Cheat systems, we have some footage you’re going to want to look at.
Shared online by the unfortunate ‘AndrewEffteeyay‘, the Warzone 2 gameplay clip shows them looting a Duffel Bag cache in Sawah Village – inside a building – before being knifed by another player somewhere else on the map – on the roof of a building.
As you can see below, the two players are clearly not in melee range – and we’re not even sure they’re in the same POI, not that that should matter all that much anyway.

Now, we don’t know enough about cheats to be able to tell you how to replicate this – and we’re not sure we’d want to. But, you can clearly see that Warzone 2 isn’t free from people using exploits to get one-up on their opponents.
Still, using one of the best Warzone 2 guns and one of the best Warzone 2 loadouts is going to give you a fighting chance against other players out there playing fairly. As for the cheaters? We can only suggest submitting a report and moving onto the next game.
We know that isn’t an ideal solution, but there’s clearly not a lot that can be done if you come across someone able to knife you from another part of the map. We still recommend making sure you’re using the best Warzone 2 settings available; you shouldn’t come up against a cheater every game you play.
